One Big Thing: Dr. Hendrix currently serves at the White House Office of Management and Budget on detail from Sagamore. He is responsible for helping design and implement the White House shipbuilding strategy and other efforts to modernize the U.S. defense industrial base.

• Dr. Hendrix enjoyed a long and distinguished naval career and held senior positions in the Department of Defense and in the office of the Secretary of the Navy. 
• Dr. Hendrix is a prolific author of books, reports, and articles, including The New Security Blueprint: Rebuilding, Rethinking and Renewing National Security (written in collaboration with Sagamore Senior Fellow Alan Dowd) and To Provide and Maintain a Navy: Why Naval Primacy Is America’s First, Best Strategy
• Dr. Hendrix helps operate a family farm in Angola, Indiana
