Sagamore Ventures is a collection of enterprise solutions to some of the world’s biggest problems. We support a select number of entrepreneurs and enterprises who are taking an innovative idea from zero-to-one or scaling a proven game-changing to widespread adoption. Sagamore has supplied approximately $150 million in strategic capital (philanthropy and impact investing) to date. We also provide strategic advisory services and convening to bolster the capabilities of purpose-driven founders and CEOs.

Our Ventures

renewing cities fund

The Renewing Cities Fund provides Indiana families and institutions with the opportunity to invest in the redevelopment of their city’s downtown assets, while providing the catalytic capital needed to unlock tax credits and bank debt for the construction phase. This investment vehicle, which is managed by our affiliated Commonwealth Impact Foundation, provides the financial backbone for Sagamore’s Renewing Cities initiative that works to catalyze sustainable community-driven revitalization in Indiana cities and towns. In addition to private investment, families and institutions can invest charitable assets from foundations, donor advised funds, and endowments.

Athlete impact strategies

Sagamore formed a partnership with RISE Family Office to help professional athletes become entrepreneurs and achieve high impact players off the field. Our services range from consulting to managing the athletes’ foundations or nonprofits.

Commonwealth harnesses the same entrepreneurial talent that creates wealth to create more opportunity for everyone to flourish. Through a series of special-purpose vehicles, Commonwealth manages capital with commercial excellence and measures our success in how much our investments benefit others.

EXPANDING EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITY

Sagmore operates two programs to enhance access to quality instruction for thousands of K-12 students each year. The Scholarships for Education Choice program has raised over $80M to provide scholarships to private schools, and our Global Teach Exchange supports high-quality international teachers with J1 visas and position placement at underserved schools across the US.

purposeful design

Purposeful Design helps rebuild the lives of individuals who have struggled with addiction, homelessness, incarceration, and other obstacles and equips them with valuable work skills. Purposeful Design welcomes men coming from the streets through homeless missions who want a better life, offering them a job in our custom furniture manufacturing facility. While developing the characteristics of a good worker, men are also building a foundation necessary for successful employment and living: discipline, trustworthiness, and relationship skills.

Osprey Impact

We’re working with the team at Osprey Global Solutions to bridge the innovation-deployment gap in defense tech. Our model scales field-validated solutions that are necessary for today’s warfighters and battlefield humanitarians.
