Arminda Lathrop
Vice President for Advancement, Sagamore
One Big Thing: Arminda is the Vice President for Advancement at Sagamore, leading partnership and brand growth strategy across the organization. She has spent the last 20 years partnering with foundations and donors to invest in education. Arminda is particularly passionate about supporting the next generation of Christian leaders to do great things in their communities, businesses, and the church.
She lived in East and West Africa for 7 years, where she gained an in-depth understanding of investment that leads to flourishing (and investment that does not). She remains involved in development in Ghana as Vice Chair of a youth development organization called Future of Africa.
A program builder with a love for compelling prose, Arminda holds a Bachelor’s degree in English, a Master’s in Rhetoric, a CFRE credential, and a Systems Design certificate, and has served in leadership roles with multiple professional associations, including the Consortium for Christian Colleges and Universities. She has taught in the U.S. and internationally on the subjects of fund and organizational development.
She is a fourth-generation native of Joseph, Oregon (population 1,100) and appreciates the impact of small communities with a big heart.
