Boston

Launching Forum in Boston in 2026 is the ideal way to honor America’s 250th birthday. The city was center of the origins of the American Experiment and it continues to fuel the new ideas to shape our nation’s future. Forum convenes senior leaders across sectors at the Harvard Club quarterly to deepen understanding of the inheritance we received and catalyze ideas and innovations to create a better 250 years ahead.

FORUM

The most consequential change in the world happens through networks of leaders who trust one another deeply. Forum was founded on that conviction.

Created in London in 2015 and now jointly managed by Sagamore in the United States, Forum brings together senior leaders from across sectors — government, finance, media, and beyond — united by shared values and a commitment to using their platforms for good. Through lectures, supper clubs, and working groups in New York, Washington, DC, Boston, and Atlanta, Forum US moves ideas into action and individual influence into collective impact.

City Renewal

Stephen Goldsmith’s work at Harvard Kennedy School continues to shape the future of cities and local government innovation. As the Derek Bok Professor of the Practice of Urban Policy and director of Data-Smart City Solutions at Harvard University, Goldsmith studies how data, technology, artificial intelligence, and cross-sector collaboration can help governments better serve their communities. A former mayor of Indianapolis and deputy mayor of New York City, Goldsmith has become a leading voice on modern governance, convening city leaders and developing practical solutions to improve public services and civic engagement. His legacy of innovation is also recognized through Sagamore Institute’s Stephen Goldsmith Prize for Innovation in Local Government, which celebrates and supports local leaders pursuing bold, technology-enabled solutions to community challenges. By connecting his public service experience with Harvard’s research and teaching mission, Goldsmith continues to influence the next generation of civic leaders and urban policymakers.

Closing the Wealth Gap: Rwanda

Sagamore Institute’s Rwanda Case Study, presented at Harvard University in Boston, highlights one of the most remarkable economic development stories of the modern era. The forum brought together leading advisors and practitioners to examine how Rwanda rebounded from the devastation of the 1994 genocide to become one of Africa’s fastest-growing economies through private enterprise, entrepreneurship, and strategic economic policy. Hosted at Harvard, the event connected Boston’s globally recognized academic and policy community with lessons from Rwanda’s transformation, featuring insights from longtime presidential advisor Michael Fairbanks, Bridge2Rwanda founder Dale Dawson, and Dan Vogel of the Boston Consulting Group’s Centre for Public Impact. By bringing Rwanda’s experience to Harvard, Sagamore helped foster a broader conversation about how effective leadership, innovation, and investment can accelerate economic opportunity across emerging markets.
