In this audio, Sagamore Institute President Jay Hein interviews William Bartell, a Lincoln scholar. From 1968 to 2005, Bartell was a Social Studies teacher at Evansville Harrison High School. He was also an adjunct professor at University of Southern Indiana. He is widely published on Lincoln’s time in Indiana. A consultant and volunteer at the Lincoln Boyhood National Memorial and the Lincoln Home National Historic site. Indian Historical Society published his book,”There I Grew Up,” on Lincoln’s childhood in Indiana.
