Position Title: J-1 Program Relationship Manager – Indiana-Based Remote Position (co-working space in Broad Ripple is available)
Reports To: Managing Director of Education Opportunities
Job Functions: The J-1 Relationship Manager is required to perform a range of duties including, but not limited to:
Program duties
- Serve as the primary point of contact for host school sites, and teachers placed in southern Indiana schools
- Participate in the completion of and US DOS reporting for: J-1 Programs Annual Review, redesignation, expansion, and compliance reviews
- Maintain active status as an Alternate Responsible Officer for the program
- Annually ensure that fully executed contracts are received for each teacher
- Annually ensure that schools comply with the accreditation/school quality directive
Operational Duties
- Participate in new cohort teacher screening and placement
- Onboard all new southern Indiana host school sites
- Ensure that all new cohort teachers placed in southern Indiana schools complete their orientation, setting and managing expectations for schools and teachers that align with program policies, and assisting with the transition to the U.S.
- Be a point of contact for offboarding all southern Indiana schools and exiting teachers from southern Indiana, ensuring a smooth transition for the teachers
- Ensure that the program goal of cultural exchange and improving global competencies is being adequately pursued by southern Indiana host schools and exchange teachers
- Maintain communication and manage the annual assurance process for current host schools in southern Indiana
- Conduct systematic communication with host schools and teachers in southern Indiana ensuring documented contact is made quarterly with each teacher and host school
- Establish, document, and conduct periodic school site visits
- Maintain teacher data for compliance and track teacher and school interactions in Salesforce
Education and Qualifications:
- At least 5 years working experience in relationship management or a related field
- Excellent communication, listening, organizational, analytical, and training skills
- Ability to pass DOS security screening (must pass a criminal background check and be a U.S. citizen or have status as a legal permanent resident)
- College degree preferred
- Multicultural experience preferred
- Experience in Indiana Public Schools preferred
- Fluency in Spanish highly desired
