Sagamore has a long history of supporting communities and increasing opportunity in our home in Indianapolis. From our work supporting Elevate Indy’s work mentoring students in Indianapolis Public Schools, to Senior Fellow Jeff Spark’s community leadership in the Eastside neighborhood of Twin Aire and our work with the Super Bowl Legacy Initiative, we’ve been committed to advancing practical solutions with local leaders that lead to better communities.

Now, we’re focused on tackling one of the city’s – and one of the nation’s – most pressing challenges: housing.

We know that having safe and stable housing is a fundamental enabling condition of prosperity and flourishing, but too many of our neighbors have limited pathways to this dream. Our partnership with Shepherd Community Center’s Building Foundations of Hope is helping families on the Near Eastside purchase homes in the neighborhood through a unique rent-to-own approach that combines enterprise solutions with Shepherd’s successful mentorship and community-building tools. And with the Carmel-based T&H Investments, our partners at Commonwealth Impact are helping to expand housing that helps communities flourish physically, emotionally, relationally, and spiritually.
