The annual Indiana Conference on Citizenship, hosted by Sagamore, is designed to inspire and prepare Hoosiers to actively participate in our democracy and advocate for the well-being of our state and nation.

This year’s conference is focused on a pressing local challenge with implications for all citizens: The decline of small- and mid-size cities in Indiana and throughout the Midwest. Changing economies and dwindling populations have left many communities struggling to maintain their quality of life and historic character.

But this decline is not inevitable. Join us as we showcase how local Indiana leaders are flipping the script by leveraging partnerships, building systems and capacities, and engaging citizens to accomplish community transformation and renewal.
